Here is how her story started. 5 years ago Laily had no idea that she would end up working as a makeup artist. Laily came to Netherlands at a very young age from Afghanistan as an immigrant and was always encouraged to study in fact she hoped of becoming a lawyer in the long run. Little did she know, that she had it in her to become an outstanding makeup artist. How it all unfolded was through her soulmate, her husband. She always had a passion for drawing and artistic works, in fact her hobby was drawing. When Laily met her husband due to the fact that he was also an artist, singer to be specific, he encouraged her to go on and pursue her dream of being a makeup artist. Through ups and downs, Laily finally attended “Dutch Beauty School” with the support of her husband and studied allround makeup and hairstylist.
You would think that makeup doesn’t require any delicacy, yet there are so many little things and skills required in order to match makeup looks to certain faces and looks. Laily excels in this and has proved it many many times. Due to Laily’s passion for makeup after she had graduated from Dutch Beauty School, she didn’t stop there, everyday she would try to get more experienced and better. Starting off practicing makeup on family and friends, slowly Laily had emerged onto bigger people and bigger artists and even began her own brand called DressYourLook.
As Laily emerged onto platforms such as Instagram, she had started to connect to many photographers who loved her work. A photographer named Martin Shots reached out to Laily and asked her to collaborate. Laily’s work was posted on Martin’s page as well as her own and from there Sonia Sulva a famous individual in the Netherlands requested Laily to do her makeup which she had loved beyond measure. Laily has worked on famous afghan singer Ghezal Enayat, she has collaborated with ZeeTV which is an Indian channel, where Laily got the opportunity of doing makeup on actresses and more.
From there forward, Laily’s career in the makeup industry had become more serious and had started to get clients which meant she had to fix her makeup kit. Laily’s makeup kit consists of top brands such as Huda Beauty, Mac, Nyx, Toofaced, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Fenty Beauty etc. Her number one priority is to make sure that her clients feel and look their best after she’s done.
